Windows of the Flyway

“Windows of the Flyway” follows bird rescuer Fruzsina Agócs on her mission to save migratory birds from a hidden danger: collisions with glass skyscrapers in New York City. The film opens with Fruzsina patrolling downtown Manhattan, carefully looking for window collision victims — dead or alive.

As the story unfolds, we follow her to Central Park, where her passion for bird-watching and photography comes alive. She joyfully photographs a rare migratory bird, revealing the unexpected beauty and rich biodiversity thriving in the city’s green oasis.

Through the eyes of this passionate volunteer, the film explores the contrasting sides of New York City — the harsh reality of its impact on birds and the unexpected sanctuary it provides. Her journey connects these worlds, offering a powerful commentary on coexistence and conservation in an urban environment.
